This is because flowering thrives and so does honey production.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>March<\/b>: Beekeepers\u2019 activities, both in the apiary and in the warehouse, at their peak! Flowering in northern and mountainous regions and early flowering in southern and coastal ones make brood increase; so does the need for food. For this reason, the following processes are carried-out in the hives: preparation for swarming, replacement of queens, removal of old and deformed frames, addition of well-structured or undone frames to construct. Finally, beekeepers ensure<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>move them to areas with better flowering, if needed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>April<\/b>: in northern and mountainous areas, this is the time for swarming and queen replacement. Bee swarms have intense needs for nectar, pollen and water because they are in the full process of brood and young bees development. This is why beekeepers should make regular inspections every 8-10 days. During this period, beekeepers replace queens and move swarms to areas with better flowering to boost production levels. April is also the month that royal jelly is produced and pollen is collected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>May<\/b>: Beekeepers start harvesting in the south, where there are citrus trees and early flowering. In addition, they prepare the warehouse and the packagings that will receive the honey, keeping an eye on the swarms on a regular basis.
