Our Company monitors closely all the stages that our honey goes through, from the moment it comes out of the hive until it reaches the end consumer.
Our partnering beekeepers all around Greece harvest their honey and we select only the best varieties.
Our specialized Organoleptic Control and Quality Assurance departments ensure that our honey ranks top in terms of quality, origin, taste, color and aroma.
We package our honey, mindful to preserve its full taste, aromas and nutrients.
Unbelievably but in 1928 our honey came with an english description on its package. It was the first greek branded honey that was launched abroad!
In 2019, Attiki honey received the Crystal Taste award; that means that the International Taste Institute has rewarded our honey with 3 stars for three consecutive years and, of course, that our honey is well-respected even by the most prominent chefs worldwide.
Greek beekeepers are not just our partners, they are our family! Many of them have been with us as second or even third generation partners!
Honey-tasting is of course our favorite everyday task! Attiki honey is harvested all around Greece on a daily basis and a special group of experts tastes and finally chooses the cream of the crop. This is the secret to its distinct, yet unchanged taste for 90 years!
Greek honey is valuable for one more reason. Its taste, scents and density significantly outclass honeys from other countries. This is attributed to our robust sun, soil and the unique greek flora. It is only Greece that has 1,300 indigenous plants, a wide galore of flowers, herbs and trees, giving to our honey exquisite quality and paramount taste.
Greek honey is also rich in trace elements and minerals, necessary for our balance, musculoskeletal strength and metabolism. It is the ideal sweetener of a healthy nutrition, since it is rich in antioxidants and antimicrobial agents, protecting our cells and promoting smooth intestinal function.
