HOW DO BEES QUENCH THEIR THIRST?

In summertime, the need for water increases, as one of the bees’ task is to “cool” the inner part of the hive. Beekeepers must ensure a source of fresh clean water every 3-4 days. Thus, if there is no nearby stream or other natural water sources, beekeepers usually carry large water tanks close to the apiary, and place special floats (cork, wood boards, etc.) so that bees can get the water without drowning on the water surface.
